Interview Advice
- First impressions count. Ensure you are presentable.
- Show enthusiasm, integrity and passion.
- Make sure you convey your interest in the job.
- Prepare thoroughly. It shows initiative, intent and allows you to respond knowledgably to questions.
- Try to relax and be yourself.
- Prepare examples of work before the interview that adequately reflect your strengths.
- Do not be negative.
- Be prepared to explain why you wish to leave your existing post.
- Be positive and decisive about the job you are applying for.
- Convey you are quick to learn. There is always a learning curve in a new job.
- Don't price yourself out of a job. If in doubt, suggest liaison with your recruitment consultant.
- Leave yourself plenty of time prior to the interview. Worrying about being late will leave you tense.
- Always contact your agent immediately after the interview.
- Finally, look through your CV again prior to the interview and think about how you will respond to any awkward questions.
